Marc (trapdoor2) is back from his holidays, bronzed and lovely, and raring to go!

Home for five minutes and Marc was working on the tablature of Joe Morley's Moonbeams Shadow !   (Miz Diane left do do the unpacking, I assume??)   :-)

I have added the Tab to the MUSIC LIBRARY entry for the score.

Thank you Marc.

LOL. I was working on it in my head as I was driving 10hrs home... :-P The only thing I have that got a lot of sun was the interior of my wallet!

This is another of Joe's very easy tunes, which I have made harder than it really is in the TAB. Somehow I got it in my mind to put in every possible snap and slur (far more than the original dots).

The first two measures are from the piano introduction...if you have a pianist, you will leave them off of course. I actually have been playing that intro using the 5th string G instead of the 5th fret G...makes it a little easier and I keep all the alternating notes on the third string when doing that. The Gmaj chord at the end of the 2nd measure just seemed to want to be there, so I added it. It could easily be replaced with the 7PB Gmaj.

I have been playing all the snaps/slurs shown (really!) but find the one in the B part, second/sixth measure (the triplet) to be annoying...so I simply play it without the slur/snap.

Otherwise, this is a fun little piece to play and begs to be trotted along quite fast (as Joe would likely have done, living up to his "lightning player" reputation). As this is almost completely a 'first position' piece, I suspect it came from his 'smooth handle' days. I'll give it a go on mine soon enough.
