This is a very nice piece of ragtime music with plenty of variety. It's said to have been Marshall's favourite composition. Marshall and  Scott Joplin lodged together on several occasions and you can hear the influence of Joplin in this tune. Marshall called it Kinklets because of the 'kinks' in the music! The score and midi are in the library.

I think I've seen a period banjo arrangement of this somewhere. Either I have a copy or I've seen it in a table of contents somewhere. Maybe the ABF library...

Thanks Marc, I'd like to see that arrangement if you could track it down. I've a few more of Marshall's tunes to try, I haven't been able to locate the scores as yet so I'll probably have to work from midi transcripts again. IMHO, Kinklets is one of the best ragtime tunes I've heard recently....Steve.
