Does anyone know of an early recording of the "Dashwood Quickstep"? I'm enjoying learning the piece, but have been unable to find a historical recording of it online for reference.

Hope all is well,

Greg

This was the first piece I ever learned way back ...it's a good tune...I'm almost certain I've heard a recording by Oakley but can't recall where. It's out there somewhere I'm sure.

Have a look on the other classic banjo site, classicbanjo.com...there's a midi of the tune

I have an mp3 copy of Olly playing DQ, I'll send it to you tonight.

I've been working on it for years and have attempted to vid myself playing it on a number of occasions. It just seems to be one of those tunes where when the red light is on, I crash 'n' burn. Very fun to play!

I have TAB if anyone wants it.

Thanks for getting back to me Steve and Marc! I'd appreciate the Olly recording. I'm really enjoying its lyrical quality. If I can get some time in the coming weeks, I'll put together a few youtube videos of some of the stuff I'm working on.

Best regards,

Greg

Why not send it to Ian and he can put it on the jukebox and we can all hear and enjoy it?
