Hi all,
Has anyone else played the Clarence Polka March by Herbert J Ellis? Great duet if you haven't.

Kind regards

Dear Ian,

Thanks for your thorough and thoroughly reasonable explanation, re: geo-banjo-location. I understand, absolutely, and hadn’t thought of it that way. In fact, if you look over your shoulder out your parlor window right now, that’s me, waving, eyeing your CE Special XX. Are you, uh, going on any errands soon?

Anyway, it makes perfect sense the way you’ve set up the site for members to get into contact, and again, thank you for all the careful and dedicated work you’ve put into it — and continue to put into it. And glad that the Dobson’s Magazine was of interest; I wasn’t sure if it was “out there” or not, so glad that it apparently wasn’t.

All very best wishes,

C.

P.S. And Joel, I was indeed fascinated by your “Bridge to Cross” article for the most recent 5-Stringer. Very interesting and valuable information all collected in one place, finally, and curious to see some of the more ornate and lovely designs, since contemporary commercially available bridges are by and large pretty nasty, and, as you point out, unsuited to fingerstyle, gut/nylon-based playing. (I “lol”ed at your mention of “magic wood.”) Plus Marc Smith’s super-glue tip for reinforcing the slots — smart.

Joel, Yes I did read through your article in the ABF mag 5 Stringer.

Hangs head in shame as I cannot understand how that when I read about wood types I didn't see der reference.

;-)

ps. You say they are fairly easy to make with only a bracket saw and sandpaper?... I will have a dozen of the No 75 please.

I use a electric scroll saw for the fancy stuff.

Joel, you are a real craftsman.

Brilliant and amazing and all for $5 a dozen too.  ;-)
