I would like to wish all my  cyber-banjophile friends  around the world the very best for Christmas and the New Year.

Let's make the New Year an even better one, with lots more videos to keep this "Classic" style of playing alive and well and growing from strength to strength.

3 cheers to that, Ian!

Aye, much agreement from here.

We're having a "White Christmas" here...2" of snow has fallen since about 5am. This is an event...hasn't happened here since 1963. HO HO HO!!!

Very interesting Rob,

It is perishing cold here in Blackpool too, so I can't imagine what it must be like in the northern wastelands!

But, I must point out that I think you may find that 1890 was when cylinders began.

:-)

Here in the heartland of America we have thus far escaped the worst of the inclement weather, but we'll probably get our turn soon.  As a driver of an "eighteen-wheeler," I dread the ice and snow but I'm sure I'll survive just like every other winter.

I reciprocate the holidays tiding to Ian and all my classic-banjo friends, let's make it a rag-tastic 2011!
