Ellis Brooks was a popular Band Leader, composer of marches and a contemporary of J.P.Sousa. This is a very good tune that's well suited to the banjo. Although it contains some elements of ragtime, I would best describe it as a syncopated march. There's an interesting change of key to Ab in bars 37-40 and a bass solo included in the fourth section. The score and midi are in the library....Steve.
