I know this site is not intended to be a market place. But I think the following might be of service to the members, as well as to me,  so I hope this is acceptable:

I've decided to sell two banjos.  One is a Clifford Essex Regal circa 1936, with original case and vellum. Right now it has a Fiberskyn head but the mounted vellum is in good shape. Also included are several replacement tuners, that came with the banjo when I got it. The wooden  arm rest is new and better than the original. $1600 usd.

The other is a Joseph Daniels "Defiance" model. A late 19th century English banjo with a unique construction and a sound like a cylinder recording turned up to Eleven.  Built to have extra bass course but currently set up with 5 courses, with the bass course tuned in octaves, the others being single strings.  $750 usd.

thanks.

I have edited the above post. There was a typo in the CE price, it has been corrected to $1600. The Daniels price had somehow gotten lost in an editing accident. Now it can be seen. It's $750.
