12'' Special XX

In case you haven't seen it, there is a mint Special XX with a 12'' rim for sale on Ebay UK. The seller is refusing to ship it, so somebody local should go rescue it!

My Concert Grand takes an 11 1/16'' high crown remo. Will the Special XX require the same size?

No way of knowing in advance. My preference might be for a natural vellum anyway.

I think the head that's on there is a weatherking, not a skin. Look at how shiny the underside is.

I didn't mean that it now had a vellum. I meant that since I might chose  a vellum the various diameters and crown heights of synthetic heads would not matter.
