Just got to find the banjo- I'm sure I put it away after I got back from Backwell, but it seems to have lost itself, also the car keys aren't where they should be, and I can only find one shoe, but I will overcome all of these difficulties in the interests of banjo science. See you all there.
5.30 am. and just making up some corned beef sandwiches for the journey to Derby/Hilton. Got to get the bus from Whitby to Scarborough, and then the train to York, change for Derby and then the bus from Derby to Hilton, should just about get there by midday, if all goes well and there are no leaves, of the wrong type, on the line. What we do for the banjo!
Just got back from the Midlands banjo fest, I left at 6.15 pm to get the bus into Derby but somehow managed to catch the wrong one! Ended up in Lichfield but there was a train which got me back to Derby in time for the late train to York and my connection with the Scarborough Flyer.
This didn't live up to its name and I missed my bus to Whitby by two hours altogether, anyway, I managed to hitch a lift with a lorry driver and he took me to Sleights, which is only four miles from Whitby and I walked most of the way, very invigorating, remind me to get a lighter banjo.
